Muslim couple converts after dreaming of Jesus

SYRIA. – A young Muslim couple had a life-changing supernatural experience after escaping their home in Homs, Syria, amid the country’s five-year civil war.

According to an Open Doors report, Amir and Rasha fled their home in Homs amid Syria’s five-year civil war. Like thousands of others, the couple sought refuge in Lebanon. “Since 2012, we have been living in a tent,” Amir told the organization. “It’s not an easy life, about a year ago my wife’s mother was killed by a sniper when she left her house, just to get some fresh air. My wife’s brother died when he was on his way home.”

Despite their uncertain circumstances, the couple revealed that they were full of hope and joy, after a miraculous encounter. “About three months ago, I had a vision with Jesus,” Rasha shared. «I was sleeping and suddenly I saw Jesus, dressed in white. He said: ‘I am the Christ, you will have a beautiful daughter. I was eight months pregnant, and a month later we had our beautiful daughter.

On the same night, her husband also had a dream with a vision of Jesus. «I saw Jesus Christ, dressed in white, and he said to me:». I am the Savior of him, you will follow me ». After waking up, the couple made a brave decision and decided to follow those words of comfort in their dreams.

“We have decided to follow him. We named our baby Cristina and abandoned our old Islamic ways,” the couple said.

Living in a camp predominantly filled with Muslim refugees, Amir and Rasha now fear for their lives. Fearing attacks from Islamic extremists, Rasha still dresses as a Muslim woman, covering her head with a veil.

“Our family is very big. We are afraid now, they can kill us,” she said. “Now we don’t have a fixed place to live, we always move from one place to another.”

Amir added: “Our family knows that we are Christians now to be a Christian is, for them, even destroying the Kaaba in Saudi Arabia. This is because before we were in the dark and now… we are in the light. I want to protect my family.”

Because of their Christian faith, the future of the couple and their daughter remains uncertain: “I don’t work in Lebanon, our economic situation is bad because we are Christians. The others don’t want to help us. The church is helping where it is… possible.”

However, Amir’s faith was undeterred: “The most important thing is to know Jesus and have him as our Savior,” the man added. “He will save us, we always pray to the Lord, we worship them freely and he protects us. God is with us, God is going to solve our situation”.
