CHRIST NEWS.COM..-A school ministry that empowers local churches to walk outside their four walls to teach biblical principles to students in their schools is launching a Bible reading program.
It’s all about the tool hang 10 Y it is designed to help parents continue with routine education this year that is not normal in the face of the COVID-19 pandemic.
Hang 10 includes a 14-week high-energy and fun-filled program developed by the KiDs Beach Club (KBC) that instills character education in students in grades three through six who use God’s word and prayer.
The plan begins Memorial Day weekend on May 24. Thousands of students from 11 states, equipped with KBC Explorer study bibles, are expected to participate from the safety of their homes..
The great thing about this tool is that both parents and children can follow the daily lesson plans during Labor Day.
Pandemic has improved strategies
The coronavirus crisis has made the organization interested in the healthy return of children to schools.
Jack Terrell, president and founder of KiDs Beach Club, explained that the return of children must be more calm to a semblance of normalcy, “he said.
He explained that the non-profit group has started its after-school program, which wants “kids to get quiet with God’s word for 10 minutes every day all year long”.
Beach Club school counselors have contacted the corporate office in Bedford, TX to ensure that the after school education program resumes this fall to help students transition into a new and confusing environment; This was stated by Dave Crome, KBC’s vice president of marketing and communications.
What does the program include?
Hang 10, or Hang 10″, is the phrase you will use to encourage children to hang out with God for 10 minutes every day through Bible reading and prayer.
The program Hang 10 Summer Reading focuses on guiding children through the Bible, using selected stories from each Bible book.
Each week for 14 weeks beginning May 26 and ending on the Saturday before Labor Day, August 31, the plan will provide daily Bible readings and additional “bonus” content, designed to help children delve deeper into the Bible.
The Summer Reading Program is available on the KBC website, with stories from: The books of the law, the history books, the books of wisdom, poetry and praise, the minor and major prophets, the gospels, the letters of Paul (epistles and pastoral) and general letters
On KBC’s social media accounts, each week’s Summer Reading Schedule will also be posted on Sunday, along with daily reminders on our Facebook and Instagram stories.
These plans can also be shared with friends and family who don’t participate in Beach Club or who are looking for a summer devotional activity.
