NATIVITY OF THE VIRGIN MARY
It is celebrated on September 8
Today a clear star is born, so divine and heavenly, that with being a star, it is such that the Sun itself is born from it. From Ana and Joaquin, east of that divine star, comes its clear light worthy of being eternally pure: the clearest and most beautiful dawn cannot be equal to it, which, being a star, is such that the Sun itself is born from she. It is not equaled by any light that embroiders the sky, because the white moon is the humble ground of its feet: it is born on the ground so beautiful and with such celestial light, that, being a star, it is such that the Sun itself is born from she”.
This is how the hymn of Lauds of this party sings. And Vespers is no less enchanting: “Sing today, since you are born, you angels, great Lady, and rehearse from now on, for when God is born. she is the one for whom they have grace. Say, Lady, of you, that you have to be her Lady, and practice, from now on, for when God is born”
In these two charming poems is synthesized the rich spirituality of this day.
Today we celebrate the feast of the blessed birth of the Virgin Mary, from whom the very Son of God will be born who will bring us salvation.
A newborn Mary is complimented: The Word of God: “You are all beautiful, oh Mary… My chosen one is All beautiful as the snow of Lebanon… Who is this that advances like a sun…?”.
And on her feast day the Liturgy greets her: “We celebrate the birth of the Virgin Mary… We celebrate with joy… Who is this that rises like dawn? We sing with all our hearts the glory of Christ, in this Feast of the Birth of the Virgin Mary… Today is the Birth of the Most Holy Mary, whose life illustrates the splendor of the entire Church… Today the Virgin Mary of the lineage of David was born. Through her came the salvation of the world to the believers, and for his glorious life the whole world was illuminated… Your birth, Virgin Mother of God, announced the joy of the whole world… All the texts of the Liturgy of the Hours and of the Eucharist are compliments to this Simple and humble woman, but at the same time the greatest that centuries have ever seen, who has just been born…
Congratulations mum! Congratulations for you, for your birth. Congratulations, Mother, because you were growing on the dark path of faith. Congratulations, Pilgrim Virgin, because you teach us the path of holiness. Congratulations, Mother, because one day, one month, in one place, from some parents… you were born like any of us and yet from You the Savior of the world will be born a few years later. Congratulations to the poor of Nazareth. Congratulations, Mother, because everyone will congratulate “the beloved, the unique dove, the perfect one.” Congratulations, Mother, because you are the top, the height where divinity resides. Congratulations, Mother, because you are the “Land of delights”. Congratulations, Mother, because you are the Mother of God and mine too.

Anthem
Yo
Today a clear star is born,
so divine and heavenly,
that, with being a star, is such,
that the sun itself rises from it.
From Ana and Joaquín, east
of that divine star,
clear and dignified light comes out
to be eternally pure;
the clearest and most beautiful dawn
It can’t be the same
that, with being a star, is such,
that the sun itself is born from it.
No light equals it
of how many embroider the sky,
because it is the humble ground
from her feet the white moon:
born on the ground so beautiful
and with light so heavenly,
that, with being a star, is such,
that the sun itself is born from it.
Glory to the Father, and glory to the Son,
Glory to the Holy Spirit,
forever and ever. Amen.
O well
II
Sing today, because you were born,
the angels, great Lady,
and rehearse, from now on,
for when God is born.
Sing today well let’s see they come
born your beautiful queen,
that the fruit they expect from her
It is for whom they have grace.
Say, Lady, about you,
that you have to be his Lady,
and rehearse, from now on,
for when God is born.
Well, fourteen years from now,
that in good time you fulfill,
they will see the good that you give us,
remedy for so many damages.
Sing and say, for you,
that from today they have Mrs.
and rehearse from now on,
for when God comes.
And what are we waiting for?
May Bethlehem come soon,
let’s prepare too
heart and hands
Go sowing, Lady,
of peace our hearts,
and let’s rehearse, from now on,
for when God is born. Amen.
