.- Soon the audiovisual platform Netflix will have available the Christian musical “A Week Away” which is based on a Christian music hit movie, as reported by The Christian Post portal.
Christian singer and actor, Powell, came up with this film and wrote the screenplay with Kali Bailey.
The musical is about a teenager who is in trouble with the authorities and as a result must choose whether to go to a penitentiary or a Christian summer camp.
The teenager named, Will Hawkins, chooses the camp and tends to sensitize his character and find love, while developing a sense of belonging to the place.
Also starring in the film: Sherri Shepherd, David Koechner, Jahbril Cook, Kat Conner Sterling and Iain Tucker.
“A Week Away”
Powell maintained that the film seeks to show family values, acceptance and friendship.
He also said that this is the perfect time to show the message of this film.
On the other hand, the musical features three original songs that were composed by Adam Watts, Powell and Cory Clark. All these songs are based on faith.
The film is directed by Roma White who is known for working on music videos for artists like Taylor Swift, Justin Bieber, and Carrie Underwood.
