Nigerian pastor TB Joshua died after finishing a church service

.- Through their social networks, the death of the Nigerian pastor Temitope Balogun Joshua, known as TB Joshua, who was recognized for having founded the church of the Synagogue, was confirmed.

According to Leadership, the pastor died of unknown causes after concluding a religious service at his church.

TB Joshua Ministries said the Nigerian evangelist died at the age of 57, a week before his birthday.

The cause of death was not immediately revealed, but family sources said his body has been stored in the morgue and an autopsy will be carried out to determine the real cause of death of the clergy.

Joshua has ruled as a fervent TV preacher for decades, using his platform to attract large numbers of Christians from around the world.

The organization in a statement said: “God has taken home his servant, the prophet TB Joshua, as he should by divine will. His last moments on Earth were spent in the service of God. For this he was born, lived and died.”

Who was TB Joshua?

TB Joshua founded in 1987 a religious group known as the Synagogue, Church of All Nations (SCOAN, for its initials in English).

From Lagos, Nigeria, SCOAN runs the television channel “Emmanuel TV”.

The pastor’s teachings were not without controversy. YouTube closed the channel of the leader in April, who claimed that homosexuality could be “cured”.

“The Synagogue, Church of All Nations and Emmanuel TV Family appreciate your love, prayers and concern at this time and request a time of privacy for the family. These are the last words of the prophet TB Joshua: ‘Watch and pray’”.

It should be remembered that in 2011, according to Forbes, Joshua was the third richest pastor in Nigeria, although the claim was immediately rejected in a church statement.
