Novel “Apocalypse”, presents Antichrist turned into the beast that invades Jerusalem

BRAZIL.- The novel “Apocalypse”, from the Record network, was criticized for having placed the figure of the False Prophet very close to the Pope. Overall, though, viewership has remained stable, which is admirable for a subject most people aren’t used to.

The novel enters its final phase, with the figure of Ricardo Montana (Sérgio Marone) suffering an attack, curiously portrayed in a similar way to the death of President John F. Kennedy. Shot in the head and chest, he dies, or feigns death. At that moment the figure of Satan appears on the scene, taking over both him and Stefano Nicolazi (Flávio Galvão), world leader of the Church of the Holy Light.

On the day of the funeral – three days after his death – an event broadcast to the whole world on television, Ricardo is resurrected, passing from Antichrist to the condition of “beast”, mentioned in the Apocalypse of John. Stefano is definitely the False Prophet, who proclaims Ricardo as a ‘god’ and begins to perform great signs, summoning ‘fire from heaven’. People begin their worship as part of a single world religion, where all holy books (especially the Bible) are banned.

Ricardo, the ‘living god’, is now beginning to force people to wear a sign of loyalty to him, the mark of the beast, portrayed as an electronic tattoo. Through holograms, Ricardo speaks to the world. He declares himself a god and is applauded by all nations except Israel.

With the support of Stefano, the villain will spread faith domain ideals and meet with the president of the United States. Jerusalem, however, will deny the deal and come under fire. The four knights described in the last book of the Bible enter the scene, while the world is plunged into a scenario of war of no return. Hunger and death spread throughout the world.

The villain orders an invasion of Jerusalem and over the next few weeks sits in the Third Temple, erected on his orders in Israel’s capital. The biblical production will show in the coming weeks what three and a half years of Great Tribulation war will be like, following an interpretation of the prophecies known as dispensationalism.
