Novena to the Immaculate Conception
HOW TO MAKE THE NOVENA
Kneeling before an image of the Immaculate Conception, he will cross himself and then say the following every day:
ACT OF CONTRITION
My Lord Jesus Christ, God and true man. Before your divine presence I recognize that I have sinned many times and because I love you above all things, I regret having offended you. God save you, Mary, full of grace and blessed more than all women, unique Virgin, sovereign and perfect Virgin, chosen to be the Mother of God and therefore preserved from all guilt from the first moment of your Conception; Just as death came to us through Eve, so life comes to us through you, who, by the grace of God, have been chosen to be the mother of the new people that Jesus Christ has formed with his blood.
To you, most pure Mother, restorer of the fallen lineage of Adam and Eve, we come trusting and pleading in this Novena, to beg you to grant us the grace to be true children of yours and of your Son Jesus Christ, free from all stain of sin. Remember, Most Holy Virgin, that you have been made Mother of God, not only for your dignity and glory, but also for our salvation and benefit of all mankind. Remember that it has never been heard that a single one of those who have come to your protection and implored your help has been abandoned.
So don’t leave me either, because if you don’t, you’ll lose me; that I don’t want to leave You either, rather every day I want to grow more in your true devotion. And obtain for me mainly these three graces: the first, never to commit mortal sin; the second, a great appreciation of virtue, and the third, a good death. Also, give me the particular grace that I ask of you in this Novena, if it is for the greater glory of God, yours and the good of my soul.

Just as you freed Mary from sin and gave her perfect control over all her passions, so we humbly beg you, through the intercession of your Immaculate Mother, to grant us the grace to tame our passions and destroy our evil inclinations, so that we can serve you with true freedom of spirit and without any imperfection.

PRAYER
Oh Most Holy Son of Mary Immaculate and most benign our Redeemer! Just as from the first instant of her Conception you gave Mary more grace than all the Saints and Angels in heaven, so we humbly beg You, through the intercession of your Immaculate Mother, to inspire us with a singular appreciation of the divine grace that You acquired for us with your blood. and grant us to increase it more and more with our good works and with the reception of your holy sacraments, especially that of communion.

Oh Most Holy Son of Mary Immaculate and most benign Redeemer of ours! Just as you gave Mary, among the other virtues, an exemplary purity and chastity, for which she is called Virgin of Virgins, so we beg You, through the intercession of your Immaculate Mother, to grant us the very difficult virtue of chastity, which cannot be preserved without your grace, but which so many have preserved through devotion to the Virgin and your protection.

Just as you gave Mary the grace of a most ardent charity and love of God above all things, so we humbly beg you, through the intercession of your Immaculate Mother, grant us a sincere love for You, O God and our Lord, our true good, our benefactor, our Father, and that we want to lose everything rather than offend you with a single sin.

Just as you have granted Mary the grace to go to heaven and to be placed there in the first place after You, so we humbly beg You, through the intercession of your Immaculate Mother, grant us a good death, that we may receive the last sacraments well. May we expire without any stain of sin on our conscience and go to heaven to always enjoy your company and that of our Mother, with all those who have been saved by her.
