Open your heart

Open your heart

A man had painted a nice picture. The day of the presentation to the public, local authorities, photographers, journalists and many people attended, since it was a famous painter, a renowned artist.

When the time came, the cloth that revealed the painting was pulled. There was warm applause. It was an impressive figure of Jesus gently knocking on the door of a house. Jesus seemed alive. With his ear to the door, he seemed to want to hear if someone inside the house answered him. There were speeches and eulogies. Everyone admired that precious work of art.

A very curious observer found a flaw in the painting. The door does not have a lock. And he went to ask the artist: “Your door doesn’t have a lock. What do you have to do to open it?”

“That’s right,” replied the painter. “Because that is the door to the heart of man. It only opens from the inside.”

Ask the Lord to always be in your heart.
