Paralyzed woman walks again after dreaming of Jesus: “He told me to throw away my crutches”

CHRISTIANNEWS.COM.- In Albania, a country in southeastern Europe, the pastors Genci and Ilda Zeka have been sharing the Gospel and Jesus in the population that is mostly atheist.

Silva was a paralyzed woman who went to the pastors’ church. During the night, a man dressed in white appeared in her dreams. “I did not see any face, I only saw a great light. He told me to throw away my crutches and walk,” the woman said, reports AG News.

Around 1 a.m., Silva got out of bed and obeyed the dream’s command. Her husband, a staunch communist, saw his wife standing and made a challenge: “I’m going to work. When I return at 6 o’clock, if you are still healed, I too will become a follower of Jesus,” she noted.

When he returned, Silva had already prepared dinner and was still standing. At that moment her husband accepted Jesus into her life and soon the two were baptized. Now at home they host a weekly prayer group with Pastors Genci and Ilda.

Evangelization in Albania

The temple of the shepherds Genci and Ilda, is located in Bathore, a neighborhood on the outskirts of Tirana, the capital of Albania. According to the herders, few people want to live in the region. “There is poverty, unemployment is around 70%, and many children come to our programs to escape the abuse of drunken parents at home,” Genci said.

Likewise, he added, “but we believe that God will change this reality and that believers across the country will look to us as an example.”

The most common religion in Albania is Islam, although many people are not religious. Polls show that few Albanians consider religion a dominant factor in their lives, and much of this is due to its past: the former communist government declared Albania the world’s first “atheist state” after the Soviet Union. .

Therefore, both pastors are trying to bring Christianity to the country. “Our power is not in our public speaking or our programs. The power is in Jesus”, highlights Pastor Genci.

“We visited community members and asked them to give me just five minutes to pray in Jesus’ name for their families. We share the Gospel in our prayers and release the power of it », concludes Genci.
