Pastor asks police to remove and arrest a member of his church

CHRISTIANNEWS.COM.- The Open Door Baptist Church in McLeansville, North Carolina, has not come out of the scandal after the arrest of Pastor Albert López, when he again stars in a scenario where the authorities intervened.

Last Sunday parishioners recorded the moment in which police officers arrested Félix Arias Evangelista in full worship at the request of the pastor, who accused him of home invasion.

The police arrived at the church after being informed that someone had entered the ministry without authorization.

Immediately, the uniformed men approached Arias in full religious service and asked him to leave, but another person yelled at them: “We are in the church” (“We are in a church”), although that did not intimidate the officers at all. officers.

“He was kindly asked to leave, but Mr. Arias refused. The pastor of the congregation had also requested it, but he also did not comply, so we had to remove it, ”the Guilford Sheriff’s Office reported.

In the middle of the intervention, the claims of other members of the congregation who classify the action as unfair and insist on their belonging to their church for more than 14 years are heard.

Apparently, López had asked Arias Evangelista not to enter the temple, since they had differences, but he did not comply because he considers that he has the same right to go to the place.

In the video you can see a woman lowering her spirits, but she insists to the “guardians” of the compound stationed at the door about the reasons for removing Arias Evangelista and the exclusion of part of the congregation from that day’s worship.

It is not clear if the woman was ultimately able to enter the space and speak with other members of the congregation.

However, Arias’ detention was temporary, as the authorities released him without even imposing bail on him.

“I did not commit any crime, I am a member of that church,” said the man.
