CHRISTIANNOTICE.COM.- A sermon by Pastor Carlos Rivas went viral on Facebook where he assured that those who celebrate Christmas and holidays around the world are demon-possessed.
To reinforce his thinking, the pastor quoted the Bible in Corinthians 10:20. “Anyone who celebrates these holidays in the world is demon-possessed. I don’t say it, the Bible says it because Paul clearly says that ‘these are not parties for God, but for the demons,’” Rivas said.
He also added that nowhere in the Bible does it say that Jesus was born in December. On the contrary, if you read the Bible carefully, Christ was not born in December. Lucas says that Mary became pregnant in the sixth month of the Hebrew calendar, “said the pastor. (See video here).
Likewise, he explained that the sixth month of the Hebrew calendar is equivalent to August in the Gregorian calendar. “From August you must count 9 months. Maria was barely 5 months pregnant in December. Surely and with a biblical basis, Christ was born in April,” said Rivas.
In addition, he mentioned that in December no one can herd sheep through the snow, as the Bible points out at the birth of Jesus.
Finally, he added another argument that rejects celebrating the birth of Jesus in December: “The Bible says that the wise men were led by a star, and in December, as it is the month of rain, you will never find a star in the sky,” Pastor Rivas concluded.
Reactions to his preaching
“Do what you like and want. Not what others or the Bible marks you. The Bible is not there to order tastes, human beings are and will be free,” wrote Juan Martínez.
“He talks tough, but he tells the whole truth. He who practices sin is of the devil. Without holiness, no one can see God,” commented Francia Rios.
For his part, Manuel Alemán expressed that: «How sad it is to see those pointing, blaming, condemning sermons and, worst of all, a pure personal interpretation of the Bible. The believer is free, not subject to anything, that is not expressly prohibited in the Scriptures.
