Pastor Eugenio Masías: “Divorce does not exist, the Bible says so”

NOTCIACRISTIANA.COM.- During his preaching, Pastor Eugenio Masías affirms that there is no such thing as divorce, he supported his words by citing several verses from the Bible.

One of the biblical texts quoted was 1 Corinthians 7:39, “A married woman is bound by law as long as her husband lives; but if her husband dies, she is free to marry whoever she wants, as long as she is in the Lord.” In other words, the pastor says that you cannot divorce or marry someone else while the other person is alive.

Likewise, the pastor points out that if through ignorance or lack of knowledge you committed the act of divorce and another marriage, God will ignore it once they repent of the sin.

The pastor recommends getting to know the person you are going to marry well. Since marriage is sacred in indissoluble. “Marriage is until death do you part, not until divorce do you part,” the pastor said.

The other verse quoted by the pastor was 1 Corinthians 7:11, “If you separate, stay unmarried, or be reconciled with your husband; and that the husband does not abandon his wife ». Which means that if they separate, they cannot remarry someone else.

“Marriage is holy, sacred, a divine institution, it is the base, the foundation of the home, the base of society is the family,” says Masías.

Finally, the pastor compares marriage with the union that exists between the Christian and Christ. “Christ was able to give his life for the church, we must be willing to give our lives within marriage,” he concluded.

Reactions to his preaching

«I do not agree with the pastor, the word of God tells me something else regarding this condition or situation. But even so, I respect the servant of God, I could be wrong on this issue, but that does not affect his ministry and integrity before my God,” Héctor Betanco commented.

For his part, Antelmo López expresses, “Amen, amen. That’s how it is. And he who does not have the Spirit of God, he will not agree ».

“Until death separates you, what death are you talking about, love, trust, etc. can be dead, greetings can be separated, take care, blessings,” wrote Lewis Rivera.
