CHRISTIANNEWS.COM.- The Easter holidays are almost here, it is April 17 of this year, and Pastor Joel Osteen is sharing a resurrection message for everyone.
“There may be things in our life that seem dead. Dead dreams, dead relationships… But remember, one Easter message is the resurrection and that God can raise dead things in our lives,” the pastor said.
The pastor of Lakewood Church in Houston, Texas, reflected on how Christians mourn the death of Jesus as he lay buried in the grave on Friday, when the sun stopped shining.
“It’s not over until God says it’s over,” Osteen added, Fox News reports.
But this story of what Christians commemorate every Good Friday before Easter is a reminder that Sunday is coming, and God “is still in control,” he explained.
“God knows how to change a medical situation, change a child or change your health,” he said.
In the natural world, there may not be a way out of situations that seem hopeless, but Osteen encouraged believers to turn problems over to God and trust in his power.
Finally, he added: “I just encourage you to let go of the old. We have all been through disappointments… But why not let all that go knowing that God is ordering your steps and detours?” Osteen concluded.
