Passage from the epistle of Saint Paul to the Philippians
“1 Therefore, my very dear brothers, whom I so desire to see, you who are my joy and my crown, my beloved, persevere firmly in the Lord.
2 I exhort Euodia and Syntyche to agree in the Lord.
3 And to you, my faithful companion, I ask you to help them, because they fought with me in preaching the Gospel, together with Clemente and my other collaborators, whose names are written in the Book of Life.
4 Rejoice in the Lord always. I insist again, cheer up.
5 May your goodness be known to all men. The Lord is near.
6 Do not worry about anything, and in any circumstance, resort to prayer and supplication, accompanied by thanksgiving, to present your requests to God.
7 Then the peace of God, which surpasses all we can think, will take care of your hearts and minds in Christ Jesus.” (Philippians 4:1-7).

The path of trust in God
It may be that, when reading the words of Saint Paul, a feeling of discouragement invades us and various questions arise: is it possible not to worry about anything?… Although it may seem difficult to understand, the apostle Paul shows us two remedies before the concerns, quite legitimate, that we can have at some point, and these are:prayer and thanksgiving!
prayer, especially the plea (which is a more intense prayer), is a good way to put all our concerns and sorrows at the feet of our heavenly Father, with the certainty that the Lord listens to each of our requests and gives us the strength to endure any circumstance .
On the other hand, although it may seem difficult to us, we can practice thanksgiving when we feel worried and afflicted, as it is a way of finding reasons not to be sad, but joyful and full of gratitude for all the graces received in our lives. In fact, thanksgiving allows us not only to rediscover our childish hearts that can trust fully in the goodness of the Fatherbut also leave us in your hands with total confidence.
To tell the truth, this word of Saint Paul, who invites us to trust in God, is similar to that of Saint Peter, when he says: “Unload all your concerns on Him, since He takes care of you” (1 Peter 5:7).
Give yourself to the Father with !
Saint Teresa of Ávila pronounced some beautiful words that invite us to abandon ourselves to the Father, knowing that He listens to each one of our pleas: “… Nothing disturbs you, nothing frightens you, whoever has God, lacks nothing…”
