What better expression of love and praise than making the Powerful Prayer to the Holy Spirit, leaving in each word our notes of thanks and recognition. A prayer made from the depths of our hearts, with true faith and with the firm intention of allowing God to act in each one of us, trusting and surrendering to him.
Before starting the day and the work or academic day, it is prudent to entrust ourselves to God and ask the Holy Spirit to enlighten us in every step we are going to take, all in his name and for his Glory.
Holy Spirit, come today upon your people,
We give ourselves to you and trust in you,
We want to belong to you
We don’t want to be in the dark
Only by your side can we be sure,
Help us to be faithful and constant,
Unless we are lukewarm Catholics,
To be practitioners of the Holy Word,
To be testimonies and evangelizers,
Feed us with your Word,
Enlighten us with your love.
You are that living fire,
that burns in our hearts,
You are the divine fire,
You are a source of inspiration.
We ask you for consolation,
We pray to you to give us wisdom,
We beg you to give us strength,
We beg you to give us understanding,
All your gifts let us flourish,
May the gift of advice and piety we practice,
The gift of knowledge and the sacred fear of God,
May they be the basis of our lives and a reflection of our faith.
We do not want to offend the Father,
He who is generous and kind,
We know that he is merciful,
But just in his punishment,
Help us to follow the divine law and his spiritual example,
May our life be a heavenly walk,
To the Eternal Paradise,
May my body be a temple and habitat for the Lord,
We praise and glorify you,
We adore you and we admire you,
All glory and honor be to you,
Amen.
