prayer before work
Heavenly Father, as I enter my workplace, I wish to invoke Your Presence, to thank You for this new day. I ask for Your peace, Your grace, Your mercy and Your perfect order for this undertaking. I ask you to bless everything that is spoken, thought, decided and done within these walls.
Bless my projects, ideas and everything I do, so that even my smallest achievements are a testimony of your glory.
Bless, Lord, my bosses, colleagues, clients, and all the people who are related to me this day.
Renew my strength to do my job in the best way possible. On this day I ask you, Lord, for a generous heart to kindly serve all people and not be indifferent to their needs.
Eyes to discover the best in those around me.
A mouth that smiles frequently, that says optimistic phrases and that is silent for rumors and offensive words.
Two hands that work honestly and enthusiastically to meet the needs of my family and myself.
Open mind to all ideas, to think well of others and understand without prejudice those who think differently from me.
Especially, Lord, give me a deep faith to believe in Your word and a determined will to act correctly and do good.
Lord, when I am confused, guide me, when I feel weak, strengthen me, when I am tired, fill me with the light of the Holy Spirit.
I ask that on this day the work I do and the way I do it is in accordance with Your word and Your commandments. And I ask You, Lord, that when I finish my work today, that You lead me safely to my home.
