Prayer for a happy home
Lord Jesus, You lived in a happy family.
Make this house an abode of your presence,
a warm and happy home.
Peace come to all its members,
serenity to our nerves.
the control of our tongues,
health to our bodies.
That the children are and feel loved
and stay away from her forever
ingratitude and selfishness.
Flood, Lord, the hearts of parents
of patience and understanding,
and boundless generosity.
Extend, Lord God, an awning of love
to shelter and cool, warm and ripen
to all the children of the house.
Give us our daily bread,
and away from our house
the desire to exhibit, shine and appear,
deliver us from worldly vanities
and of the ambitions that disturb and steal peace.
May joy shine in the eyes,
trust opens all doors,
happiness shine like a sun;
May peace be the queen of this home
and unity its solid framework.
We ask you who were a happy son
in the home of Nazareth with your mother, the Virgin Mary, and Saint Joseph. Amen.
