We love our children very much and wish God’s greatest blessings and guidance in their lives. We spend endless hours caring, teaching, helping, training, protecting, and encouraging that we often miss out on one of the greatest resources God has given us to guide you in prayer. The following prayers are to pray for the children and they cover many topics such as self-esteem, protection, purity, wisdom among others. These will equip you for the battle against Satan’s attacks and give you discernment to handle situations that arise. You can turn your worries to Jesus and find peace in God’s favor and love for his child as he speaks these prayers!
As parents we must cover our children in prayer for protection and blessing of children in the name of Jesus, so that the presence of God protects their lives and also teach them to cultivate their own relationship with the Holy Spirit, basing our house and family on the word of God. Now let’s do the following prayers and declarations to bless our children.
1.- Prayer for the protection and blessing of the children
Heavenly Father, we place our children in your hands under your constant protection, we ask you to keep and protect them, from all kinds of evil send your protective angels, so that their feet do not stumble in the name of Jesus, may your strength rise at all times and under all circumstances, may your Holy Spirit guide them to their destiny, we break all ties, generational curses and all negative words said about them.
In the name of Jesus, we declare that they will walk under your wisdom at all times to face every situation that they have to live, may their esteem and heart always be healthy, we declare that they will be excellent and blessed, in everything they do that they will have promotions and increases all type of success, in their work and studies we cast out in the name of Jesus every unclean Spirit that wants to bind them, removes every person from their lives that does not suit them, we cut off all negative relationships that want to lead them down a bad path, we declare that they will meet the right person to form a marriage and family.
Bless my children and protect them Lord in every place, that I step on the soles of their feet in every journey, by flight, by land or by water that your vision pursues and reaches them, we rebuke every attack from the enemy, who wants to rise up against them, and we cast him out of their lives in the name of Jesus.
I bless your body, soul and spirit with divine health, vitality and strength from God I declare that all kinds of illness, ailments and accidents stay away from them in the name of Jesus, I proclaim that they will have a long life of health and joy, I declare that all what they undertake will prosper, they will be first and not last, succeeding in all their projects. I ask you for them, creativity and blessed ideas so that they can reach high and far in their careers, vocation, ministry, profession or undertakings. We declare that faith, a positive attitude , peace, fullness, forgiveness and joy will be your blessings every day and the grace and favor of God accompany you at all times.
Give Lord wisdom to obtain opportunities and open doors, I declare that my children will be outstanding illustrious, awarded and used by the hand of God to bless the world, thank you heavenly father, because our children and offspring are in your hands and they will fulfill your good plan for them we ask declare and believe all this in the name of Jesus. Amen
2.- Prayer for the discernment of children
Lord, I pray that my son will develop an eternal perspective and purpose, not an earthly one. Help him see life and every challenge through your eyes, eager and unafraid to share the good news of Jesus with others wherever he goes. I pray that they set their minds on things above, not just what is happening here, and that he is rooted and grounded in Your love. I pray that he comes to understand the extent of Your own love for him, that it exceeds all the basic knowledge they will acquire in school. I pray that it be filled with You from morning to night. Amen
3.- Prayer for a son who has moved away from God
Dear God, you know our hearts, you hear our prayers and you care about everything that concerns us. You understand the burden we carry and how we want, more than anything, to see our loved ones come to you. Help us to remember that you love them more than we do. And you want to extend your great love and forgiveness, your mercy and hope. Thank you that nothing is too difficult for you. Thank you that your power is unlimited and that you came to free the captives. Thank you for waiting, with open arms, for the return of the prodigal son, for seeking his arrival to generously celebrate his return home. We praise you because you are Redeemer and Rescuer, Savior and Lord. We know and believe that there is no well so deep that your love cannot reach us yet. We understand that your mercies are new every morning, and that your faithfulness is great.
Lord, we ask that you stop the plans of the enemy over these we love as we bring them before you right now. We pray that your plans will be demolished and that your plans for good, for a future and hope, will prevail. Could you open blind eyes so they can see your Truth? Could you rescue those who walk in the dark and heal the deep wounds of those who have been hurt?
We pray for the miraculous intervention of your Spirit to draw them to you, so that they will work hard on behalf of our loved ones who are lost and wandering. Because you have come with good news, to heal the brokenhearted, to proclaim the freedom of the captives and the release of the prisoners. Although we deserved punishment for our mistake, you stood in our place and took the blows on our behalf. You choose to die, so we can live. Forever and free.
Lord, forgive our unbelief. Forgive the times we have doubted that you can change a distant heart. Forgive our hardness of heart, our weariness or forgetfulness for “praying continually.” Thank you because you never give up on us. Remind us how you have changed our hearts. How your miracle of life and hope has arisen in the depths of our souls. We love you Lord, we need you, and we thank you for hearing our prayers and working even now. Powerfully. Faithfully. Miraculously. Thank you for the gift of our Savior, God with us. Thank you for your kindness and love. In the name of Jesus, amen.
4.- Prayer for the relationships and influences of children
First, O Lord, forgive us for the times when we have lost our priorities so that we have not been available to model a strong relationship with You in front of our children. Help us to understand the power of our influence in the lives of our children and to rearrange our schedule so that we can be available both directly and indirectly to offer the divine influence our children desperately need.
Second, as we pray that our children will be protected from negative influences, we also pray that you will surround them with friendships and mentoring relationships that embody what it means to have an authentic relationship with Christ. In turn, we pray that you will raise our children to be the influencers of the next generation. We pray that you will allow mercy and justice to dwell in their hearts so richly that these evidences of your truth will spill out of them and every person they meet.
Through it all, we pray that you will not be prone to laziness or complacency, but will believe that even a single candle lit in the dark makes a difference and stand up boldly for the truth, even when it is unpopular. Amen
5.- Birthday prayer for my son
Dear Lord, on this day when we celebrate the birth of ________, I ask you for blessings and joy for ________. You knew everything about him before his birth and you have a plan of prosperity and hope for his life! May he feel safe and ready for the coming year knowing that You have an order to his steps and a purpose for his life. Help him find joy in every circumstance of life, knowing that You work all things for good. I thank you for ________, for loving him with unconditional love, and for the promises you have made throughout his life. In the name of Jesus, amen.
6.- Prayer for the body image and purity of my children
Dear Jesus, we weep with you for the number of our children who are buying into the lie that sexual pleasure is something to be experimented with. We pray that our children will treasure their sexuality as a true gift from You, and that they will honor that gift by saving it as a precious treasure to give to their future spouse. We ask you to help them to be strong against their own desires and to choose purity facing temptation.
Lord, we also ask You to protect our children from the idea that they must do anything and everything (including abuse of their bodies through eating disorders, drug abuse, or other harmful behaviors) to achieve a “preferred” shape or figure. ». We pray that you protect our children from such destructive thoughts, and that if they are tempted to take such drastic measures, you send someone in their lives to stop them. Help them remind themselves over and over again that their identity is not in how they look on the outside, but in what you see as their potential and worth on the inside.
We pray that our children will treasure their health as a gift from God and have a passion for eating nutritious food and staying active in order to do their part to care for this treasure.Amen
7.- Prayer for the personal value of my children
Dear Jesus, help my son to know that we are all born sinners and separated from God because of our wicked hearts. However, at a young age, he understands the life-changing concept that he does not have to live as a sinner under that condemnation.
Show my son that he has the opportunity to accept a beautiful new identity that is called “good,” not because of what he has done or what he looks like, but because he is sure of what you say he is: treasured, charming, known and protected. May he not place his self worth on achievements he may or may not achieve, but rather may he discover these deeper truths about who you believe he is and build every decision he makes on that secure foundation.Amen
8.- Prayer for the purity of my children
Lord, I ask that you create in my son a clean heart and constantly renew a right spirit within him, keeping his thoughts and actions pure and motivated by love. Keep him from temptation, and let him know that you are always faithful to give him a way out and help him endure. May the words from his mouth and the meditations from his heart always please you and edify others. Amen
