PRAYER OF PARENTS TO EDUCATE THEIR CHILDREN WELL
LORD:
HELP ME to understand my children, to listen patiently to what they have to say, to answer all their questions with love.
MAKE ME as kind to them as I would like them to be to me. Do not allow me to interrupt them, speaking to them in a bad way, but teaching them with love.
GIVE ME THE COURAGE to confess my faults to my children, do not allow me to make fun of their mistakes, or humiliate or embarrass them in front of their friends or brothers as punishment.
LORD:
DO NOT ALLOW me to induce my children to do inappropriate things by following my bad example.
I ASK YOU to guide me every hour of the day, so that I can show them, by everything I say and do, that honesty is a source of happiness.
REDUCE the selfishness within me, I beg you. Make me stop my criticism of other people’s faults and when anger tries to dominate me, help me, O Lord, to hold my tongue.
MAKE him always have a word of encouragement on his lips.
HELP ME to treat my children, according to their ages, and do not allow me to demand the criteria and standards of life of adults from minors.
LORD:
DO NOT ALLOW them to rob you of opportunities to act responsibly for themselves, to think, choose and make decisions according to their age.
FORBID ME, Lord, that I physically or verbally assault them under the pretext of correcting them, on the contrary, that I always have TIME, HUGS, LOVE AND KISSES for them.
Four steps that, as guardian angels, I must give you.
LET ME be able to satisfy their RIGHTEOUS desires, but give me the courage to always deny them a privilege that I know will cause them harm.
MAKE ME SO FAIR, so considerate and friend of my children, that they follow me out of love and not out of fear.
LORD
HELP ME, in short, to be a LEADER for them and not a BOSS.
LORD, I WANT TO BE LIKE YOU, SO THAT IT IS WORTH IT FOR MY SON TO BE LIKE ME!
