Prayer of Psalm 41 – Asking for health for a sick person (Explanation)

The prayer of Psalm 41 for health exalts those who think of the poor, for Jehovah will deliver him from any terrestrial evil and will be his sustenance in the face of pain. David exclaims that he has sinned, and asks for healing from his soul, in the face of the evil desires of his enemies.

Talk about that close betrayal that is experienced, that grave. But also about finding the strength we need to lift up in Jehovah. He is the only one who can help defeat the enemy. He is a support for integrity, who always puts us before any possible evil.

🙏Prayer Psalm 41🙏

Blessed is he who thinks of the poor;
in the evil day the Lord will deliver him.

Jehovah will keep him, and keep him alive and he will be blessed on earth;
and will not hand him over to the will of his enemies

Jehovah will sustain him in his bed of pain;
he will soften his bed in sickness.

I said: O Lord, have mercy on me,
heal my soul, because I have sinned against you.

My enemies speak ill of me, asking:
When will his name die and perish?

And if anyone comes to see me, he speaks a lie;
his heart collects for himself iniquity,
and when he goes outside, he divulges it.

Gathered together, all those who hate me murmur against me;
They plot evil against me, saying:

A pestilence has seized him;
he who fell into bed will not get up again.

Even the man of my peace, in whom I trusted, the one who ate my bread,
raised his heel against me.

But you, O Lord, have mercy on me and make me rise,
and I will give them their payment.

This is why I know that you are pleased with me,
that my enemy does not sing victory over me.

As for me, in my integrity you have sustained me,
and you have made me stand before you forever.

Blessed be Jehovah, the God of Israel,
forever and ever. Amen and amen.
