Heavenly Father, thank you for your guidance. Forgive me for getting ahead of your plans, and help me know when to stop and listen for your direction. Your ways are perfect Lord. Thank you for offering a tender grace. In the name of Jesus.
Lord, I pray that you help me to have a bolder spirit, I know that any sin can afflict and diminish the voice of the Holy Spirit, and I pray against the temptation to sin. Help me to desire your presence more than sin. Help me to grow in the fruit of the Spirit and thus walk closer to yourself. I pray that you guide me from your Spirit, that your will and your promises will always be a meditation of my heart.
Lord, I stand here today with open hands and an open heart, willing to depend on you to see me through the day and whatever it brings. Help me to be like Nehemiah, help me to come to you for your direction, strength, provision and protection. As I am faced with difficult decisions and difficult situations, help me to remember your word, help me to remember that I am your child, and to show your love to those around me. Help me to live each day in a way that brings honor to your holy name.
I want my days to start with you on my mind and in my heart. Allow me to wear the armor that you have provided daily: the helmet of salvation, the breastplate of justice, the shield of faith, the belt of truth, the shoes of peace and the sword of the spirit, with prayer always in my heart. tongue, praise for you and requests for those around me and for those you put in my way.
Feed me today with your daily bread. Like the Bread of Life, your food, like the manna, will sustain me through any trial and famine. Help me to set my thoughts on the things above and speak only what will help and encourage others.
Protect me from putting my foot in my mouth, and help me keep the affections of my heart today, Lord. Have any work I do marked with excellence rather than perfectionism, as I seek not to make a name, but to make a difference. Help me treat each person I meet like you, with respect and love, forgiving others and asking for forgiveness when necessary.
Help me to always do your will. Keep my feet from tripping and my mind from wandering into distractions that could steal precious time and energy from the most important things you have designed for me. I am grateful to be your son. And that you would die for me, to give me eternal life, so that every day I will enjoy the wonder of your love, the freedom of your Spirit and the joy of knowing you.
I know that earthly life is short and fleeting, Lord. But I want to live today as if it were the first or last day of my life, giving thanks for every good and perfect gift you choose to give. Today and every day I want to live my life for you, Jesus.
Lord thank you for the people you have divinely placed in my life who speak your truth, love and words of wisdom. Give me a heart of discernment to know when you are using someone to speak instruction in my heart and in my circumstances, and give me the strength and courage to follow through with that advice, even when it is difficult. Fill me with peace knowing that even if I’m wrong, you will lift me up and your purpose will prevail. In the name of Jesus, amen.
