Start with the rosary medal with the following prayer to Saint Monica
“Oh Saint Monica, with your burning tears and your incessant prayers, you saved your son from eternal damnation. Obtain for us the grace to always understand what is most conducive to the salvation of our children, so that we can effectively restrain them from the path of sin and lead them through virtue and piety to heaven.
On the first bead of the pendant, read: An Our Father
On the second bead of the hanging rosary, pray: Come Holy Spirit
In the rosary loop:
For each group of five, on the large bead, pray one of the following petitions, followed by the Hail Mary on each of the four small beads:
1) My tears to yours, against the spirit of Despair, against the spirit of Hope.
Saint Monica, pray for us in the Holy Name of Jesus!
Then pray 4 Hail Marys…
two) I will join my tears to yours, against the spirit of anger, against the spirit of love.
Saint Monica, pray for me in the Holy Name of Jesus!
Then pray 4 Hail Marys…
3) I will join my tears to yours, against the spirit of guilt, against the spirit of forgiveness.
Saint Monica, pray for me in the Holy Name of Jesus!
Then pray 4 Hail Marys…
4) I will join my tears to yours, against the spirit of Suspicion, against the spirit of Trust.
Santa Monica pray for me in the Holy Name of Jesus!
Then pray 4 Hail Marys…
5) I will join my tears to yours, against the spirit of doubt, against the spirit of faith.
Saint Monica, pray for me in the Holy Name of Jesus!
Then pray 4 Hail Marys…
6) I will join my tears to yours, against the spirit of Fear, against the spirit of Peace.
Saint Monica, pray for me in the Holy Name of Jesus!
Then pray 4 Hail Marys…
Going back to the rosary, on the first bead it says:
«Saint Monica, exemplary Mother of the great Augustine, you perseveringly persecuted your wayward son, not with savage threats, but with cries of prayer to heaven. She intercedes for all mothers in our days so that they learn to attract their children to God. Teach them how to stay close to their children, even the prodigal sons and daughters who have sadly gone astray.”
On the next rosary bead, pray:
«Oh, great Saint Augustine, take our children under your protection! To our efforts in his favor, join your intercession for them with God. Exercise all your influence and, with the compassion of your loving heart, intercede before the Holy Trinity for them. Do not allow our children, sanctified in the waters of baptism, to be banished from the presence of God for mortal sin and suffer eternal punishment.
On the rosary medal:
«Lord Jesus Christ, only Son of the Eternal Father, have mercy on us and on our children! Lord, hear us graciously! Amen.”
