By mighty force,
the invocation of the Trinity,
By believing in his Three Persons,
By confessing Unity,
From the Creator of Creation.
i get up today
Through the power of Christ’s birth and baptism,
Through the power of His crucifixion and burial,
Through the power of His resurrection and ascension,
Through the force of His descent to judge evil.
i get up today
Through the power of the love of Cherubim,
In obedience of Angels, In service of Archangels,
In the hope that the resurrection finds its reward,
In the prayers of Patriarchs, In the words of Prophets,
In the preaching of Apostles, In the innocence of Holy Virgins,
In works of good men.
i get up today
Through the power of heaven:
Sunlight,
splendor of fire,
lightning fast,
lightness of the wind,
depth of the seas,
earth stability,
Rock firmness.
i get up today
Through the strength of God that leads me:
Power of God that sustains me,
Wisdom of God that guides me,
Look of God who watches over me,
Ear of God who listens to me,
Word of God that speaks for me,
Hand of God that keeps me,
Path of God stretched out before me,
Shield of God that protects me,
Legions of God to save me
Of the devil’s traps,
Of temptations of vices,
From anyone who wishes me ill,
far and near,
Alone or in a crowd.
I invoke this day all these powers between me and the wicked,
Against ruthless powers that oppose my body and soul,
Against the spells of false prophets,
Against the black laws of the pagans,
Against the false laws of heretics,
Against works and fetishes of idolatry,
Against enchantments of witches, forges and sorcerers,
Against any corrupting knowledge of body and soul.
Christ shield me today
Against filters and poisons, Against burns,
Against suffocation, Against wounds,
In such a way that you can receive reward in abundance.
Christ with me,
Christ in front of me
Christ behind me
Christ in me, Christ at my right hand,
Christ to my left,
Christ at rest
Christ lifting up
Christ in the heart of every man who thinks of me,
Christ in the mouth of all who speak of me,
Christ in every eye that looks at me,
Christ in each ear that listens to me.
