In the bible, to be more exact, in the book of psalms we can find messages from David crying out for help from God. David presented many problems in his life and he always turned to the Lord to help him calm down, that is why I want to share a powerful psalm to calm the nerves and you can have peace again.
Psalms to calm the nerves
I advise you to pray these psalms in a quiet place, to help you relax and always end by thanking the Lord.
But you, O Lord, are a shield that surrounds me; you are my glory, the one who holds my head high. Psalms 3:3
To you I will cry, O Lord. My rock, do not ignore me, so that it is not me, leaving you, like those who go down to the grave. Hear the voice of my prayers when I cry out to you, when I raise my hands towards your holy temple. Do not take me away with the wicked, And with those who do iniquity, Who speak peace with their neighbors, But wickedness is in their hearts. Jehovah is my strength and my shield; In him my heart trusted, and I was helped, For what my heart rejoiced, And with my song I will praise him. Psalm 28 – Read Complete
I take refuge in you, Lord,
May I never be disappointed!
Deliver me, for your justice;
incline your ear to me
and come quickly to help me.
Be for me a protective rock,
a bulwark where I find myself safe,
because you are my Rock and my bulwark:
by your Name, guide me and lead me.
Take me out of the net that they have laid for me,
because you are my refuge.
I put my life in your hands:
you will rescue me, Lord, faithful God. Psalm 31,1-6
Final reflection of the psalm to calm the nerves
God is invoked in the psalms, we acclaim his help to be able to calm down. He responds to your call in silence and although you may doubt it, that silence can calm you down.
Remember that God will protect you from those wicked, impious people. Pray thanking the Lord for the blessings you receive every day and also end by asking for our neighbor who may be in the same situation. The more brothers pray and ask to calm the nerves of that person who requests it, the greater our reception with the Lord will be.
