.- The psalmist, Mackenzie Morgan, reacted on social networks against the groups Hillsong, Elevation Worship and Bethel music for allegedly preaching a false gospel, reports Christian Post.
Morgan’s post went viral, with thousands of people expressing their views on it.
According to the praise leader, she used to listen to all the bands that she now criticizes, however, after starting to get uncomfortable with several songs, she decided to study the lyrics. Morgan said she was able to see that these musicians preach “false teachings.”
Likewise, he urged to see the Scriptures and attend to the call of the Lord.
The psalmist mentioned issues of the meaning of God in the songs: “…I cannot support these churches like Elevation and the teachings of Steven Furtick, because of their belief in modalism, which is the belief that God is not one being and three persons. Rather, God changes the ‘ways’ of each person of the Trinity. Friends, that’s heresy,” she argued.
About Bethel, the singer limited herself to saying that the criticisms are quite obvious.
In addition, the interpreter reminded that theology matters and added that it is important that a song accurately shows the holiness of God.
Likewise, Morgan said it was important that the songs not profess the prosperity gospel.
Morgan also criticized in his message the charging of royalties by these churches for other congregations to sing their songs.
“It matters that every Sunday the churches pay royalties to these churches to be able to sing their music, promoting [su] outreach and its false gospel message.”
The singer ended the post by recommending groups CityAlight and Sovereign Grace Music.
Morgan assured in a later video that he is currently working with his church to be a trusted source for good worship music.
