Reik singer rejects faith: “There is no eternal life, there is no happiness after”

.- Jesús Navarro, singer of the popular secular band, Reik, was recently on Roberto Mtz’s “Creativo” podcast, a space where he rejected religious beliefs.

Jesús Navarro assured that he does not believe in any religion and that he always looks for weaknesses in philosophies, and if they do not offer him the answers to his questions, he leaves.

“(…) All religions have to do with faith, with your decision to believe in something that is not credible,” said the musician.

The Reik singer assured that he only believes “in what we have right now” and added that life ends when people die. “There is no eternal life, there is no happiness afterward…” Navarro said.

In addition, he explained that since there is no superior being to take care of people, the luckiest must help others.

On the other hand, Navarro said he identified with the song: “Ojos de Mandela” by Beatriz Luengo and Alejandro Sanz, whose chorus says: “(…) I always saw you in Mandela’s eyes and in my mother’s smile” (indicating that these appraisals are God).

Jesús Navarro assured that during his youth he had some problems accepting the religiosity of his family, which is Catholic, however he indicated that now he can live with them, and that this does not affect the value he has for his loved ones.

On the other hand, Roberto Mtz, assured that it was just as valid for each person to build their own religion, an argument that Navarro also accepted.
