USA- The Venezuelan singer, Ricardo Montaner, showed that he is not oblivious to what is happening with respect to the caravan of Honduran migrants that is heading towards the United States. Through his Twitter account, the interpreter of “La cima del Cielo” said that this was the moment for Latin Americans to show that they are children of God. “What are we going to do with the #migrantcaravan? Are we going to stay put? Where will we leave sensitivity and mercy? Will we close the doors? », He began by saying in his message.
He added: “It is time to prove if we are truly children of God.” Just like Montaner, other music stars like Panty Cantú have also spoken about it. The migrant caravan left the city of San Pedro Sula, in northern Honduras, on October 13, fleeing violence, insecurity and lack of opportunities in the country.
The government has asked the population not to undertake the hard journey to the United States and has made buses and planes available for the migrants to return them to the country.
Donald Trump, for his part, has threatened to take away aid from Honduras for not stopping the migrants.
Controversial video of Montaner
In an interview given a long time ago to a radio station called Stereo Visión, the singer spoke out against all those Christians who have criticized him for still singing for the world. He says that he can’t stand those believers who question him about it every time they meet at an airport.
“I think that the greatest preaching that there can be for a Christian is to shut up and live happily and set an example with his own life,” said Montaner, referring to those who criticize him. He also highlighted that he uses secular concerts to preach Christ to secular audiences that need it than to one who is already a Christian.
Montaner also clarified that he does not hold concerts because they are normally Christians and that they are never satisfied and that Christians are sometimes very tight-lipped. “That is why I do not agree that Christian artists go around singing for free, waiting for a crop or an offering from the church, to see what they get…”.
