Saint Silvia of Rome, Roman noblewoman and mother of a family.

Saint Pedro José Almató, priest, Dominican friar, missionary and martyr.

Blessed Manuel Lozano Garrido (Lolo). Journalist and writer. Paralyzed in a wheelchair (28 years old) and later blind. He never lost faith or good humor. There are some wonderful books written by him: The stars are seen at night, it is his posthumous work.

Saint Godfrey of Amiens. Priest and Benedictine monk. Bishop.

Blessed John Duns Scotus, Franciscan friar, priest, theologian, and philosopher. Professor at the University of Oxford and in Paris, called in the Catholic Church Doctor Subtle. He exposed and defended the Immaculate Conception of the Virgin Mary. He was also a great writer.

Saint Leo I the Great, Pope. (He got a peace agreement, not to invade Italy, with King Attila). He is a Doctor of the Church.

Day 11

Saint Martin of Tours, soldier of the Roman Imperial Guard. Baptized, he parted his cloak, to give it to a beggar who was naked. Later he was Bishop. Countless churches bear his name, just as he is Patron of many places. He is Patron Saint of textile manufacturers.

Saint Theodore studied, monk and Abbot.

Saint Marina de Omura, virgin, Dominican tertiary religious and martyr. She helped persecuted missionaries.

Saint Elizabeth of Hungary, queen, mother of a family, and widow. She founded several Hospitals, dedicating all of her assets to Charities until her death.

Saint Gregory Thaumaturge, Bishop, Writer and Thaumaturge. He is one of the Fathers of the Catholic Church.

Saint Hilda, Benedictine nun, Abbess. All kinds of people from different social classes came from Reyes to ask for her advice.

San Acisclo and Santa Victoria de Córdoba, brothers and martyrs.

Santa Rosa Filipina Duchesne, religious of the Congregation of the Religious of the Sacred Heart. Missionary and Teacher. She founded several teaching colleges in the United States, the first being in the State of Louisiana. Her body is buried in St. Charles (Missouri, United States).

Bernardo F. de Hoyos, Jesuit priest. The cult and extension in Spain of the Feast of the Sacred Heart of Jesus is due to him, after appearing to him personally and commissioning it. He is Patron of the Brotherhood of Descent and Holy Christ of the Good Death of Valladolid.
