The Saints are men and women of every race, age and condition, who during their earthly lives shone with exceptional virtues and love for Christ. Knowing his life serves as a point of reference to follow the path of faith, it serves as models to imitate in all areas: as parents, as priests or nuns, missionaries, doctors, etc.
Holiness consists in the most intimate participation in the life of God. We are all called to holiness. We must imitate the heroic virtue of the saints. They teach us to interpret the Gospel thus avoiding accommodating it to our mediocrity. The Saints also intercede for us before God when we ask them for favors.
Saint’s Day is a day of encouragement, joy, to congratulate oneself because we have someone who reminds each of us of the almost infinite possibilities of achieving holiness: through martyrdom, through patience, through kindness, through humility. , for preaching and testimony of life, for generosity, etc. Each and every one of them backed by love. Saint Paul reminds us: if I do not have love, nothing is useful to me (cf. 1Cor 13,3).
