Through this prayer we can ask God to send us his Spirit of strength, patience and discernment to face the adversities that come our way.

“God, grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change,
the courage to change the things i can change
and the wisdom to know the difference;
living one day at a time,
enjoying one moment at a time;
accepting adversity as a path to peace;
asking, as God did,

and not how I would like it to be;
believing that You will make all things right if I surrender to Your will;
so that I can be reasonably happy in this life
