In the City of Krakow-Lagiewniki
(Poland), is the Sanctuary of Divine Mercy, former chapel of the Convent of the Sisters of the Mother of God of Mercy. There, on a side altar, there is both the painting of the Merciful Jesus and the relics of Saint Faustina Kowalska, whom Saint John Paul II proclaimed the Apostle of Divine Mercy, and who lived and died in this Convent. Numerous pilgrimages from many countries of the world arrive daily at this Sanctuary. To attend to the many pilgrims from all over the world, the impressive Basilica was built next to the Sanctuary, whose image you can see below. Saint John Paul II visited Krakow in 2002, the city of which he was also Archbishop, and consecrated the new Basilica of Divine Mercy, built next to the Sanctuary and the Convent. The words of Pope John Paul II were: “Today in this sanctuary I solemnly entrust the world to Divine Mercy, and I do so with the ardent desire that the message of God’s merciful love, proclaimed from here by Saint Faustina, reach everyone. the inhabitants of the earth and fill hearts with hope” (17-8-2002).

The Sanctuary of Divine Mercy in Myslibrz is a place of tranquility, of prayer,
night vigils and weekend spiritual retreats. There is also the possibility of having individual retreats. It has 50 places to spend the night in single, double and rooms for more people, a fully staffed kitchen, a 100-seat dining room, a chapel, a church outside the complex and a conference room. This Sanctuary is located in the Teotihuacán Valley, just 60 km from Mexico City, and is governed by the Community of Jesus.
The Sanctuary was consecrated in 1999 by the Bishop of Texcoco D. Carlos Aguiar Retes.
