.- The Christian singer, Alex Zurdo, recently premiered the song “Toca la guitarra viejo” dedicated to his father who has Alzheimer’s, as reported by the information portal Entre Cristianos.
In the song that blends rap and bolero, Alex takes into account his father’s ability to play the guitar, and that despite his illness, he still remembers some songs.
In the song, the singer thanks his father for the details that made him the person he is today.
Likewise, in the verses of the new song, he also thanks Ángel Vélez (Alex Zurdo’s father) for having taught the man.
In part of the song, the Christian interpreter asks the Lord that his father always remember him.
«I only ask God, now that I am a man, that you keep in your mind the memory of my name, that among all the boleros that represent history, you do not forget this song there in your memory» says a fragment of the song.
Alex lefty confessed that it was difficult to make this song for him. «It was one of the most difficult songs for me, because of the feeling that I carry inside; Seeing my dad in that situation hasn’t been easy.”
Likewise, he advised those who have a relative with Alzheimer’s: “I understood that we must remind relatives who live with this disease, that it is the best time to honor them (the parents) accompany us and show them how much you love them.
The singer stated that this song is also part of what the Lord indicated in his commandments: “Honor your father and your mother.”
The song has a video clip and was recorded in Gastonia, North Carolina, under the direction of Gustavo Ortega.
