The singer said that at the age of 8 a car hit her when she was about to cross the street from her home in Missouri.
After the accident he suffered a concussion and almost lost his leg.
The singer and Country music icon explained that she was in the hospital for six weeks, she also said that she had undergone traumatic medical procedures.
However, following the accident, the singer pointed out that “it was as if there was a secret understanding between God and me that He had a special purpose for my life.”
There was a calling in my life, and I knew that was true at an early age,” said the Country singer.
Evans maintained that she thinks the Lord protected her on different occasions for his purpose.
He also pointed out that he sees God not only as a father, but as a comforter, his best friend and protector.
Evans held this thought from growing up on a farm in Missouri until she became a successful singer who sold some 7 million records.

The singer explained that she does not like religion, however, she said: “I love the Lord and I have accepted Jesus Christ. I am saved by grace.”
Evans said she enjoys sharing Bible verses on her social media to “offer hope and encouragement.”
The singer believes that people are currently lost and desperate, and she said that despite having felt that way at times, whenever she called out to God, he showed her his presence.
“I can be really down for a day, but I always, always, always fight and rest in the fact that God is always there. All you have to do is be patient and wait for Him to reveal to you what He is teaching you.”
The singer shared the biggest lesson she has learned in her life is to relax and trust that everything is going to be okay.
Likewise, he said that he always prays for everything that happens in his life, and quoted Romans 8:28 “Now, we know that God works all things for the good of those who love him, those who have been called according to his purpose”.
Finally, he advised: “Be patient and wait on the Lord.” “God is always providing and protecting. That has been the story throughout my life.”
The singer has songs that topped the music charts in the year 2000.
Today Sara Evans celebrates the 20th anniversary of her successful double platinum album “Born To Fly”.
The singer is also a writer and published her memoirs in the book “Born To Fly” where she talks about her musical career and the challenges she has faced along the way.
