ISRAEL. – The issue is controversial and has caused a division of opinions. When Pastor Mark Biltz, a prophecy expert, began speaking in 2008 about the signs that would arise in the skies over Jerusalem between 2015 and 2017, other scholars agreed with him. Soon “blood moons” and “supermoons” were the subject of studies available on DVDs and books.
Erroneously, some sites reported that these were signs of the coming of Jesus, something that Biltz never said. His teachings focused on a specific lunar cycle, the dates coinciding with the festive dates of Israel. They also recalled that they had “historical” ties to these rare phenomena in the history of modern Israel.
This Monday night (14) over the skies of Jerusalem will see the largest Supermoon. The phenomenon occurs when the full moon is closer to Earth than usual. She appears to be 15% larger and 30% brighter than she would normally be.
However, the date marks a rare cycle of appearances, three consecutive months with the moon so close to our planet. This is a unique astronomical event in about 70 years. The last time there was a sequence of blood moons and supermoons was in 1948, the time of the birth of the State of Israel.
The constellations defined by astronomy, which have nothing to do with astrology samples, show that the trajectory in space for the next week will make the planet Jupiter enter the center of the Virgo constellation. He will remain there for the next nine months, leaving his “womb” on September 23, 2017. The date marks the upcoming Rosh Hashanah, the Feast of Trumpets.
That is enough to correlate with the scenario described in Revelation 12. Add to this the fact that this stellar conjunction occurs in the year 5777 of the Hebrew calendar and soon, a new wave of studies and sermons on the subject. After all, biblical numerology, the “7” represents perfection and the end of a cycle.
Moon, a sign for Jews, scholars guarantee it
As has become commonplace on the internet, it didn’t take long for “conspiracy theories” to appear, which would point to a warning about the return of Christ. Both Pastor Biltz and other scholars point out that this is not what they have been talking about.
Bob O’Dell and Gidon Ariel, founders of Source Root, an educational program in which Orthodox teach Christians about the Old Testament, say these changes will occur in how the moon is viewed by which should not be ignored.
“We’re not predicting the end of the world or the coming of the Messiah,” O’Dell said. “But if you look at all the blood moons that have occurred in history, you will see that each time they marked the ‘turning points’ in the history of the Jewish people.”
“The Hebrew term implies that it is not just a sign, but a sign of his coming,” he says. The expert who also said that the word translated “seasons” has the meaning of “a certain time”, which implies the celebration of the festivals established by God in the Old Testament and that follow the lunar calendar adopted by the Jews.
The pastor is emphasizing that, since the beginning of this lunar cycle, the world has witnessed a series of events in the Middle East regarding Israel. In addition to the war in Syria and Iraq, north of the Holy Land.
