The boxer Holyfield recognized that his success is due to God

.- The four-time world boxing champion, Evander Holyfield, gave an interview to Christian Headlines in which he talks about his Christian faith.

Evander Holyfield was born in Atmore Alabama and later moved with his family to Atlanta, Georgia, where the athlete’s family was established.

Holyfield did not have an easy life, however, he managed to get up from adversity, and for this, the world champion thanks God.

About the man, the boxer explains that he always talks about him so spontaneously because he says that without him he would not be who he is today.

The boxer told Christian Headlines that he thanks his mother and grandmother for showing him a rigid love and for teaching him to have a connection with God, also adding that these women with whom he grew up urged him to always pray to Jesus.

Holyfield stated that being aware of his faith in God helped him ask him to overcome adversity and kept him positive in life.

The athlete stated that he remained positive because he trusted that God should manifest himself in his actions, so with an attitude of faith he faced all adversities.

Holyfield’s Message

The boxer is committed to carrying a message so that people begin to be more open about their Christian faith, likewise part of his testimony that he shares with others is based on showing them that God has never failed him.

The athlete invited the men to join Promise Keepers, which is an evangelical skydiving organization that seeks men to open up and communicate their faith, as well as being sincere to overcome adversity.

On the other hand, he mentioned that he never has a problem talking about his incident with Mike Tyson when he bit his ear and said that he uses this story as a hook to evangelize and show an example of forgiveness.
