the delicious cake

the delicious cake

Sometimes I wonder: what did I do to suffer this? Why did God allow it? Here is a wonderful explanation!

A daughter told her mother how everything was going wrong for her. She had failed algebra, her boyfriend broke up with her, and her best friend is moving out of town.

While they were chatting, her mother was preparing a cake and asked her daughter:

– Do you want to eat something ?

And the daughter replied: – Sure mom, can you give me a piece of your cake?

The mother replied: – Here, drink this oil.

– Come now!, replied the daughter.

– How about a couple of raw eggs?, asked the mother.

– Gross, mom!, replied the daughter.

– So, do you want some flour? Or how about baking soda? the mother insisted.

– Mom, all that is disgusting!, replied the daughter.

To which the mother replies: – Yes, all those things seem bad by themselves. But when you put them together the right way, they make a delicious cake.

This is how God works. Many times we wonder why he allows us to go through such bad and difficult times. But God knows that when he puts all these things in order, they will always be for our good.

We just have to trust Him and sooner or later these things will do something wonderful!
