The gift

The gift

If one day when you wake up, you find next to your bed a beautiful package wrapped with great care, you would open it, even before washing your face, curious to see what is inside.

Maybe there was something inside that you don’t like. Then you would keep it thinking about what to do with that gift.

But if the next day you receive another box of the same type and find something that you really like (a memory from someone distant, a rich perfume, or a bouquet of flowers from someone who remembered you), you would enjoy it.

Actually, this happens daily, but we do not perceive it. Every day when we wake up, we have in front of us a box with a gift sent by God. It is a whole day to use it in the best possible way.

Sometimes it comes full of problems: things we can’t solve, sadness, disappointment, tears. But other times it comes full of surprises, joys, victories and conquests.

The most important thing is that every day, God lovingly wraps our gift for us while we sleep: The next day.

He brings our days closer, with colored ribbons, no matter what is to come.

On that day, when we wake up, we receive God’s gift to us. He doesn’t always give us what we want or expect. But He always sends us the best that we need, which is what we deserve.

Open your gift every day, thanking the person who sent it to you first, regardless of what comes inside the box. Without a doubt He is not deceived in the remittance of the packages. If what you expected did not come today, he remains waiting.

Open it tomorrow with more affection, because at any moment, God’s dreams and plans will come to you wrapped in a gift.

God does not attend to our wills, but to our needs.

May you have a blessed day and feel the presence of God, and may His gift bring you much peace, closeness to God, and wisdom about how much we still have to learn from Him and for Him.
