“The Messiah will be revealed in the Jubilee,” says prominent rabbi

ISRAEL.- In a study last week in Jerusalem, Yekutiel Fish, a prominent rabbi of Jewish mysticism, which has Kabbalah as its main line, pointed out that the next year of Jubilee will be the last before the Messiah arrives, reported Israel. 365News.

“We are now in the month of Shevat (between January and February) on the eve of the Messiah. If you hear a shofar, don’t be alarmed or confused. It’s just the coming of the Messiah,” Rabbi Fish joked.

Fish pointed out that the next Jewish year, 5783, will be a year of jubilee. Currently, according to the Jewish calendar, we are in the year 5782, which will end in September.

Currently, in the absence of a Jewish court like the Sanhedrin, the Jewish community in Israel does not observe the Jubilee year. According to Jewish tradition, the reestablishment of the jubilee year according to biblical specifications is part of the messianic process.

The current year, 5782, is a Shemitah year, also known as a Sabbath Year. According to Leviticus 25, after seven Shemitah cycles, after 49 years, the 50th year is the Jubilee.

The observance of the Jubilee year was interrupted when the 10 tribes were exiled approximately 2,700 years ago. Before this time, the Jews enforced Jubilee laws, such as the freeing of slaves and the return of property.

The Messiah and the Jubilee

For Rabbi Fish, “the Messiah will be revealed in the Jubilee.” It is worth remembering that the Jews do not recognize Jesus Christ as the Messiah and await the coming of another, who some Christian scholars point to as the antichrist.

However, Fish laments: “Currently we are counting and observing the Shemitah without Jubilee. We know that the Messiah will come in the 85th Jubilee, but apart from the Jubilee, we are canceling his arrival. The Jubilee has ceased to exist.”

Fish then quoted a statement by Oren Evron, another leading rabbi for Jewish mysticism in Jerusalem: “Every seven days since the creation of the world has been Shabbat. Every seven years since the creation of the world has been Shemitah.”

As such, he pointed out that the current year, 5782, is the 826th year of Shemitah since the creation of the world and the next year would be the 118th Jubilee.

rumors of war

The rabbis teach that the Messiah comes in the year after the Shemitah, Fish explains, but they also teach that “the Shemitah year will bring wars.”

The Jewish leader pointed out that the gematria (Hebrew numerology) of the phrase “במוצא שביעית בן דוד בא” (after the arrival of the Shemitah comes the Messiah/Son of David) is precisely 1,000.

“One thousand plus 118, the number of jubilees since creation, equals 1118, which in Gematria is the first line of the Shema Israel (the first two words of the Torah section), declaring that God is king and God is one said Rabbi Fish. “After the Messiah, after this Jubilee, the whole world will recognize that God is king and God is one.”
