The Our Father on Christmas Eve

The Our Father on Christmas Eve

The Our Father on Christmas Eve

Our father.
Father of Jesus, our Father.
Father of all beings in the world.
that you are in heaven
What are you when we open the doors,
and in the mangers and in the portals
where there is a little love
Hallowed be thy name
May people learn to bless you.
May the children of the world have your name
like the name of a good friend.
Let your kingdom come.
that we learn to live
as you taught us,
approaching the small and sick,
giving help to those most in need.
Thy will be done.
May we all love each other.
May we love each other very much and always.
That we make everyone feel
really loved ones.
Give us bread for all today too.
That between all of us we achieve that there is
bread for everyone
That we know how to love each other
and learn to share it,
and that we feel happier
sharing than hoarding.
forgive us
We are learning to forgive.
You teach us and we learn.
Today we have no enemy.
Let’s teach the people
to live much better
forgiving than taking revenge.
And do not let us into temptation
to abuse, to annoy, to threaten.
teach us
that love is better than war,
that the piano is better than the machine gun,
that the smile is much better
than the threatening cry.
That we do not abuse anyone.
Let us not let the strong
abuse the weak.
Deliver us from evil
Of all evils:
of hunger and sadness;
of accidents and war,
from sickness and injustice,
and teach us to free everyone
of their ills.
Amen.
For your little son.
For your precious mother.
For your good heart.
For this Christmas Eve

I wish you a Merry Christmas Eve.
