When to pray the Sign of the Cross?
The Sign of the Cross is an act of contemplation on God and on Christ himself. It is usually done before a sentence. Furthermore, it is a reminder of the passion of our Lord and his sacrifice for the salvation of all men.
When we make the Sign of the Cross we are bearing witness to our beliefs, we are recognizing ourselves as Christians and praising the risen Jesus Christ.
On the other hand, there is no particular time to cross yourself. We can do it at any time of the day, at work, before leaving home or going on a trip. Any time is the right time.
