THE SOLUTION COMES FROM THE HANDS OF THE VIRGIN
THE SOLUTION COMES FROM THE HANDS OF THE VIRGIN
On May 22, 1994, at the Renfe station in Valencia, I asked two Daughters of Charity nuns if they had a house in Sagunto, and they answered no. Interested in the residence of the provincial superior, they told me that she resides in Zaragoza. I told them the reason for my question and that I didn’t want economic support but moral support, since I even had the image of the Miraculous Lady ready to buy. They insinuated that I should not buy it, because I am sure that in some house of the Company they would have some available for that purpose, and that Sister Teresa lived in the El Carmen school, in Manises, who was the responsible representative of the provincial mother in Valencia. That I put myself in communication with her that she would take care of me very well.
On May 23, 1994, since I live in Manises, where I was born, I went to the El Carmen school and asked for Sister Teresa, and about the loudspeaker at the street door, since it did not open, they told me that she was not there. , that he was away and that it would take him a few days to return. I was asked the reason for the visit and I said so. From the answer and the short conversation I had over the loudspeaker on the street, I prefer not to make any comment, let alone judge. I thanked him, wishing him a special blessing from Our Lady and left without seeing the interlocutor.
On my way back to my house, quite far from the El Carmen school, and thinking that the conversation with that good nun had not been as I wanted and that all nuns were not the same; proof of this, the two with whom he spoke the day before at the Renfe station in Valencia.
Since there is also a nursing home in Manises run by the Religious Daughters of Charity, I thought I would visit them in search of better luck.
I went there, I asked for the superior and two elderly residents who were in the gatehouse told me that she was not there. I am taken to the reading room of the residence to wait while a sister is notified.
On top of the bookshelf, there was an image of the Heart of Jesus and another of Our Lady of the Miraculous Medal.
Well, as soon as I put my eyes on the image of the Miraculous Lady, it was transformed into a powerful light that blinded me like when you look at the sun, to the point of having to rub my eyes to recover my sight.
And then, again, the same old inner voice, already known and familiar:
“THIS IS THE IMAGE TO BE VENERATED IN MY SANCTUARY OF MONTE PICAYO.”
Unlike the other times when nothing was physically wrong with me, this time it was not like that, because my legs began to shake to the point of having to sit down so that the sister would not notice what was happening to me.
When the sister left, making a great effort to hide the nervousness and state of mind that filled me internally due to what had happened, I told her the reason for the visit, telling me that it was a matter of the Superior, that I was in the San Juan Bautista parish. in the exercise of the 40 hours that are celebrated these days in said parish. Of course I didn’t say anything to the sister about what happened before. She told me that she would tell the superior when she came. We made an appointment to speak with the superior the next day at 10:30 in the morning and I left.
When I got home I didn’t know what was wrong with me. I have no strength at all. I just thought what it was that I felt and how it would end.
On May 24, 1994, the feast of the Blessed Virgin Mary Help of Christians, at the time indicated the day before, I went to the nursing home. The superior comes out, I ask her if the sister had told her anything about my visit the previous afternoon. She tells me yes; She invites me to go to a different room than the day before and begins the conversation about the sanctuary of the Miraculous Virgin, on Mount Picayo de Sagunto.
It was a very constructive and enjoyable discussion of questions and answers. I told him nothing about what had happened the day before in the reading room. He asked me the reason for my interest in investigating that particular sanctuary.
The conversation lasted longer than usual in these cases, taking into account the work they have in the attention and care of the elderly entrusted to them. By the way, very carefully attended and respected by the nuns.
At the end of the long conversation that I had, the superior tells me: “Come with me.” We left the room where we had been and I followed her. Maybe he thought he wants to give me some financial help, which I’m not going to accept.
He enters another room -this one, the same one in which the previous afternoon he waited for his sister to come out, the reading room and pointing to the image of the Miraculous Lady, which happened the previous afternoon, he tells me:
“AH HAS THE MIRACULOUS VIRGIN TO BE VENERATED IN THE SANCTUARY OF MONTE PICAYO.”
I barely had time to watch him smile at me, because I started to cry and couldn’t speak anymore. I went home without the image, because I did not have the strength to take it with me in the emotional conditions of the moment.
A few days later, already recovered from the first emotion, I took the image with me, which in the absence of a few small restoration touches, I took to the restorer to fix it.
To that good superior and her Community I owe, apart from the image of the Miraculous Virgin, which with such generosity and selflessness she offered to the sanctuary for it to be venerated, and the precious gold-embroidered tablecloth that dresses the altar, in the solemnities of the Virgin, also the valuable informative cooperation that has allowed me to clarify in a short time the current managers of the sanctuary.
Thank you, my good nuns, may the Miraculous Virgin amply reward you for what you have done for her.
At the community level, these nuns, represented by the superior, had, with the generous dedication mentioned above and without their knowing or intending it, put the first rung on a ladder, which each one of them particularly encouraged me to climb without flinching or giving up looking back; that nothing has been written about cowards, only those who fight to the end are rewarded.
With these or similar words they made me, together with the inner voice heard days before “DON’T GET TIRED, BECAUSE I AM WITH YOU”, gain strength and continue with the mission entrusted to me.
As has been said before, the image of the Miraculous Virgin was kept by the restorer and before the end of May it was impossible to be ready to upload it to the sanctuary.
It was only seven days before the end of the month of May, and the shrine was as I had left it on the 2nd of February, when I first found and visited it and described above. The Virgin wished and communicated, as she usually does and to whom she knows how to reciprocate, before the end of the month of May to be in the sanctuary to be venerated by those who want to go up to visit her.
As has already been said, he had gone up by taxi to see what he could do to clean and tidy up the sanctuary a bit, and as has also been said, it was very little and bad. He was quite worried, because he could not solve the problem as he wanted in the short time that was left.
Again I turned to the maternal protection and help of the Virgin through prayer. Kneeling at the foot of the painting of the Miraculous Virgin, I ask her to enlighten me and inspire what I should do.
The sworn promise to work tirelessly until I see her exposed and venerated on the altar of the sanctuary was firmly in my heart. In image it was not possible, because the restorer had it. In square, the one I had present in front of me could be worth, but it was small for the dimensions of the sanctuary. The inspiration solution had come through prayer and it would be through a painting of the enthronement of the Miraculous Virgin in her sanctuary on Mount Picayo, until the restoration of the image.
With the sheet of a calendar of the Miraculous, a painting was improvised, which served to make the mandate of the Virgin a reality at the beginning of May.
Once it was resolved how the Virgin would take possession of the sanctuary dedicated to her again, the need to remove the broken objects was still urgently pending. Benches, chest of drawers, wardrobe, which thrown on the floor gave a lamentable state of deterioration that made me suffer a lot, because I did not want nor was it worthy of the Queen and Lady who had to inhabit it. At least clean and swept. He did not want more, since more could not be done with the little material time that was lacking.
I told some acquaintances who were unemployed to help me clean it, paying them what they asked me for. But when I told them where the sanctuary was, they said no.
In my almost desperate search for help, I talked to two who, seeing my interest and need for help, said yes. We made an appointment for day and time but they did not come.
In view of the little time left to finish the month of May and not being able to find anyone to help me, I asked the lady who cleans my house if she could come with me to Sagunto, she lives in Manises like me to clean and tidy up a bit the sanctuary of the Miraculous, at the top of Mount Picayo. She told me yes and we agreed to go up on May 29.
We took the painting, which turned out to be quite large and representative, and the most essential cleaning supplies and we went by train to Sagunto. There we rented a taxi telling him to take us to the sanctuary of the Miraculous. The taxi driver did not know its existence or the place where he was located; but since I knew it from having been there, I already guided him and we went up.
On the way I told the taxi driver what we had to do and to decide what was in his best interest: either stay and charge for the wait or get off and get back on us. He decided to wait and cooperate with us in cleaning the sanctuary, which he did with great interest and for me with great love for the Virgin.
What was warned in his day was fulfilled once again: “YOU WILL HAVE DIFFICULTIES BUT DO NOT BE AFRAID, BECAUSE I AM WITH YOU.”
Once the work of cleaning and tidying up the sanctuary was finished, the painting of the Miraculous Virgin was placed on the altar, which by the way was put by the taxi driver. A bouquet of flowers was placed at the foot of the painting, and so with that simple but endearing act of enthronement, the mission entrusted to her in her day of being venerated by the Miraculous Virgin in the sanctuary dedicated to her on Mount Picayo was fulfilled. before the end of May 1994.
Once again: “THE BLESSED VIRGIN, WINNER OF ALL GOD’S BATTLES, HAD WINNER”, of the enemies who had wanted to make the only sanctuary dedicated to the Miraculous Virgin disappear from the Valencian Community, abandoning it in 1980.
But the most important thing was missing for me, the first to offer her the homage and veneration that she deserves, and who more suitable for it than this, loving son?, faithful vassal? and unconditional slave?
Since I did not know the religious way of thinking and acting of the people who accompanied me, I asked them to go outside and wait a bit. I put the door together and, kneeling at the foot of the recently enthroned picture of the Miraculous Virgin, I did the first act of veneration, love and reparation to the Most Holy Virgin Mary, in this sanctuary, with the “SATURDAY CONGRATULATIONS”.
After praying the Saturday greetings, I spent a few moments looking at it and hearing for the last time the inner voice of always, this time in the form of inspiration rather than out loud, which promised those who on the last Sunday of the month of May and on the 27th of December November, liturgical feast of the Virgin of the Miraculous Medal, go up to visit her and, prostrate at the foot of the altar, venerate her and with confidence and fervor…
