the three lions

the three lions

In the jungle lived 3 Lions. One day the monkey, the representative elected by the animals, called a meeting to ask them to make a decision: We all know that the lion is the king of animals, but there is a great doubt in the jungle: there are 3 lions and the 3 are very strong. To which of them should we render obedience? Which of them should be our King?

The lions found out about the meeting and commented among themselves: It’s true, caring for animals makes a lot of sense. A forest can not have three kings. We don’t want to fight among ourselves since we are very close friends. We need to know which one will be chosen, but how to find out?

Once again the animals met and after much deliberation, they reached a decision and communicated it to the 3 lions.

We found a very simple solution to the problem, and decided that you 3 are going to climb Hard Mountain. Whoever reaches the top first will be consecrated our King.

The Hard Mountain was the highest in the entire jungle. The challenge was accepted and all the animals gathered to attend the big climb.

The first lion tried to climb and could not reach. The second started with all the desire, but he was also defeated. The third lion couldn’t get it either and came down defeated.

The animals were impatient and curious; if all 3 were defeated, how would they choose a king?

At that moment, an eagle, great in age and wisdom, asked to speak:

I know who should be the king! All the animals fell silent and looked at her with great expectation.

As? They all asked.

It’s simple, said the eagle. I was flying very close to them and when they returned defeated in their climb up the Difficult Mountain I heard what each one said to the Mountain.

The first lion said: – Mountain, you have defeated me!

The second lion said: – Mountain, you have defeated me!

The third lion said: – Mountain, you have defeated me, for now! Because you’ve already reached your final size and I’m still growing.

The difference, the eagle completed, is that the third lion had a winning attitude when he felt defeated at that moment, but he did not give up and whoever thinks like this, his person is bigger than his problem: he is the king of himself, is prepared to be king of others.

The animals enthusiastically applauded the third lion who was crowned The King of Animals.

Moral: The size of the difficulties or problems you have is not very important. Your problems, at least most of the time, have already reached the maximum level, but you have not. You are still growing and you are bigger than all your problems put together.

You have not yet reached the limit of your potential and your excellence. The Mountain of Difficulties has a fixed, limited size. You are still growing!

And remember the saying: “DO NOT TELL GOD THAT YOU HAVE A BIG PROBLEM, BUT TELL THE PROBLEM THAT YOU HAVE A BIG GOD”.

“When life presents you with a thousand reasons to cry, show it that you have a thousand and one reasons to smile.”
