the trial
After having lived on Earth, my life came to an end. The first thing I remember is that I was sitting on a bench, in the waiting room of what I imagined was a Jury Room.
The door was opened and I was ordered to enter and sit in the dock. When I looked around I saw the “Prosecutor”, who had a villainous appearance and was staring at me, he was the most demonic person I had ever seen in my life.
I sat up, looked to my left, and there was my attorney, a kindly looking gentleman whose appearance was familiar to me. The corner door opened and the Judge appeared, dressed in an impressive robe. His presence demanded admiration and respect. I couldn’t take my eyes off him, he sat up and said “let’s get started”.
The Prosecutor stood up and said “My name is Satan and I am here to show why this individual should go to Hell.” He started talking about the lies that I had told, about things that he had stolen in the past when he deceived other people. Satan spoke of other horrible things and perversions committed by me, and the more he talked, the more he sank me into my dock. I felt so ashamed that I couldn’t look at anyone, not even my Lawyer. Meanwhile, Satan continued the list of sins that even I had already totally forgotten. I was so upset with Satan for all the things he was saying about me, and just as upset with my lawyer, who was sitting quietly without offering any defense arguments in my favor.
I knew I was guilty of the things I was accused of, but I had also done some good things in my life, couldn’t those good things at least balance out the bad things I had done?
Satan furiously finished his accusation and said “This individual must go to Hell, he is guilty of all the sins and acts that I have accused, and there is no person who can prove otherwise.
When his turn came, my Lawyer got up and asked to approach the Judge, who allowed him, gesturing for him to come closer, despite Satan’s strong protests. When he got up and began to walk, I could see him in all his splendor and majesty. Until then I realized why it had seemed so familiar to me, it was Jesus who represented me. He stood in front of the Judge, softly said “Hello Dad”, and turned to address the Jury:
“Satan is correct in saying that this man has sinned, I will not deny those accusations. I recognize that the penalty for sin is death and this man deserves to be punished.”
Jesus took a deep breath, turned to his Father and with outstretched arms proclaimed: “However, I gave my life on the cross so that this person could have eternal life, and he has accepted me as his Savior, therefore he is mine.” “.
My Savior went on to say “His name is written in the book of life and no one can take it from me. Satan still does not understand that this man does not deserve justice, but mercy.”
As Jesus was going to sit down, he paused, looked at his Father, and softly said, “No more need be done, I have done it all.”
The Judge raised his mighty hand and slamming the table hard, the following words fell from his lips: “This man is free, the punishment for him has been paid in full,…case closed.”
As my Savior led me out of the Court, I could hear Satan protesting angrily, “I will never give up, I will win the next trial.”
When Jesus gave me instructions where to go, I asked him “Have you lost a case?” Christ smiled lovingly and said, “Everyone who has come to me to represent them has gotten the same verdict as yours…Paid in full.”
