CHRISTIANNEWS.COM. – Thousands of young Christians gathered in the Central Stadium of the Venezuelan Olympic Stadium to attend the first edition of JesusFest in that country. The youth festival is considered the largest Christian event in Latin America.
Held last Friday (2), the event attracted Venezuelans from all over the country. Argentinean pastor Ale Gómez, founder of JesusFest, was delighted with what God did that day.
“I had come to this country before, but I didn’t know how crazy they were about Jesus. You are the ones who will change the history of this nation, the ones who came to this place today”, said the pastor.
The apostle Ignacio Yllaramendy, national coordinator of the Great Prayer Vigil (host organization of the event in the Congress of Identity and Warriors of Jesus), declared that in addition to the activity in Caracas, the vigil was carried out simultaneously in 52 cities in 21 country states.
The theme of the event was “Jesús Ama Venezuela”, a hashtag used on social media to share posts about the event where national and international bands performed.
Among the artists present were: Kike Pavón (Spain), Funky (Puerto Rico), Juan De Montreal (Argentina), Indiomar (Puerto Rico), Meeting Point (Mexico) and Jahaziel Band (Venezuela).
In addition to the musical participation, some pastors took turns on the stage of the great vigil and ministered to those present. The Dominican pastor Ruddy García, for example, prophesied the change of Venezuela.
“Let us decree that the heavens be cleared and that the Spirit of God blow upon this nation. God come to fill us and encourage Venezuela.
