Tim Keller Opens Up About His Cancer: ‘God Has Considered Giving Me More Time’

CHRISTIANNEWS.COM.- Two years after being diagnosed with stage 4 pancreatic cancer, Pastor Tim Keller, founder of El Redentor Presbyterian Church, shared an update.

“God has seen fit to give me more time, but a rigorous and demanding procedure awaits me,” the 71-year-old Christian author and speaker said, reports Christian Today.

The pastor posted that this month he is celebrating the two-year anniversary of his pancreatic cancer diagnosis. In addition, he said that stage 4 cancer has been reduced.

However, he added: “We are also transitioning to an immunotherapy trial at the National Cancer Center in Bethesda, Maryland, beginning June 1. A promising treatment in terms of the possibility of curing cancer.

He then asked his followers to continue to pray “for truly miraculous effects from the procedure and minimal side effects.”

Keller was diagnosed with cancer in May 2020. “Pancreatic cancer can learn to evade medication, so we only look to God’s power for complete healing,” she said at the time.

Finally, he noted: “Please pray that I can fulfill my teachings and other obligations. Let neuropathy and other side effects be minimal as long as the medication is effective against cancer. And may we run the race that God has set before us with joy”, he concluded.
