CHRISTIANNEWS.COM.- On October 27, a pro-life group met on the perimeter of Parliament Square, in England, where they expressed their sorrow for the millions of lives lost since the abortion law was approved in 1967.
Since the approval of the law, 55 years have passed, and in that period of time there were 10 million abortions.
Andrea Williams, CEO of Christian Concern, a Christian organization, was also present and commented: “I am here because I am passionately pro-life. Here we are, standing in Parliament Square, and we are speaking on behalf of those who have not been able to live and have not taken their first breath.”
Williams emphasized the significant number of lives lost: “There are many more people than I can see in this square today; 10 million is almost the entire population of Greater London and twice the population of Scotland,” he noted.
Likewise, the woman called for an end to abortion, which she described as murder: “We want to see an end to this intentional murder of our unborn children. That is what our common humanity demands, that is what God demands.
The “March for Life” organized by “Remembrance Day” is an event that has been held in England since 2012, with the aim of ending abortion and protecting women facing moments of crisis in pregnancy.
Isabel Vaughan-Spruce, co-director of the March for Life movement, said several people testify each year about the consequences of abortion.
“Last year, 88% of abortions were medical. And we know that 1 in 17 goes wrong and women end up going to the hospital with complications”, points out Isabel.
