Rather, deliver us from all danger,
Oh ever Virgin, glorious and blessed.
When to pray Under your Protection?
With the Bajo tu Amparo prayer we are placing ourselves in the hands of the Holy Mother of God, the Virgin Mary. With this prayer we are asking that we be protected from the attacks of the evil one.
Although it is a very common prayer during the month of May as a special request to the Virgin, in 2018 Pope Francis suggested doing it at all times. With that prayer we are asking for protection for the church and for ourselves.
Previously, this initiative had already been presented in the church by mandate of Pope Leo XIII, only that it was declining over time.
