Bordón, who is also an architect and founder of Construid, an organization that builds social housing, is well known in the missionary community for carrying out missions in the interior of Brazil.
The missionary used his Instagram account to reveal that he is homosexual. In a long video he explained that he was “born homosexual” and recounted the process of coming out of the closet, reports Fuxico Gospel.
Bruno said he started realizing he was gay when he was just 11 years old. At the time, he said that he felt he liked people of the same sex, and that surprised him, since he was also a Christian boy.
As he recounted in the video, the missionary thought that this desire was something temporary, and that when he reached adulthood he would marry a woman and all that would end.
At age 20, he said he started drinking and was excited, as he thought it would make him “hang out” with more girls.
At the same time, the missionary said that he had an encounter with God, and with that his relationship with the Lord was intensified. However, he felt that he was lying to himself.
In closing, he noted that he is ready to talk about it and that he is at peace with his sexuality. In addition, he said that he wants to be the voice of those who feel exhausted and tired and ended by saying that “being homosexual is not a sign of weakness, lack of common sense or exaggeration of depravity.”
