.- The young Edwin Juárez is a Mexican immigrant who came to the United States at the age of 15, without speaking English and looking for the American dream.
Juárez, born in Matamoros, Coahuila, assured that the biggest challenge he faced was understanding the process to find a job on US soil, reports Univision.
“My own family, who had been here for decades, had trouble finding work. They only made it through recommendations from friends who could get something at places like a restaurant. So I decided to do something for my community,” explained the 21-year-old.
Juárez decided to help his community understand, in their own language, how to look for a job through ‘Sevusca’, an application that benefits both employees and employers.
He chose the name “sevusca” so that it would be easy to memorize. However, she was unable to register the name spelled correctly “wanted” so she chose to spell it with a “v”.
“While I was in high school I decided that I wanted to start working to help my family and raise money for college. While I was looking for a job, I noticed that there were many gaps in the way the Hispanic community looks for work,” she said.

“If you are a Hispanic immigrant in the United States and you are looking for a job but you cannot find one, I am going to help you solve that problem,” says the young Hispanic man and explains how to use the app.
Through his social networks and with the help of some organizations, the young man has promoted the application and seeks to help immigrants, especially in cities like Houston, Texas.
His goal is for non-English speaking Hispanics to achieve their goal and find a good job.
“I don’t want anyone to miss out on job opportunities because of the language barrier. Immigrants come with skills in all areas and I want to help them put them into practice and achieve their American dream,” he concluded.
