Using God’s name, “messianic coach” puts people at risk of death

.- Called a “messianic coach” for presenting religious language in his lessons, supposedly to help people “ascend in life”, Pablo Marçal appeared in the main newspapers last Friday (7), when he put at risk death to 32 people.

Pablo Marçal climbed Pico dos Marins, located in Serra da Mantiqueira, in Sao Paulo, amid bad weather conditions and contrary recommendations from the Civil Defense, which announced a state of alert for the region. Before going up, he said a prayer for the weather to improve.

He presents himself on social networks as the author of methods that promise to “unblock” people in search of professional and personal success. At the time, Pablo Marçal made the expedition to the mountain as an example of “climbing in life”, as part of the training.

The entire attempt to climb the mountain was filmed and posted on his Instagram profile, including prayers and acts of apparent religious fanaticism.

Along the way, part of the group abandoned the route, while 32 others continued, reaching the summit amid gusts of wind and incessant rain. Sufficient scenario to indicate possible hypothermia of the limbs.

Around 3:30 am on Thursday, January 6, the Sao Paulo State Fire Department was called by the group, which ended up being rescued at the top of Pico dos Marins. They found that people were at serious risk of dying from hypothermia.

critics

A barrage of criticism was posted on social media after the incident. The “coach” used the analogy between climbing a mountain and climbing in life and exposed his followers to danger.

Pablo Marçal’s actions go against good mountaineering practices in terms of planning, risk management and environmental impact.

Instead of retracting, the coach made a live broadcast where he did not admit the mistakes made in Pico dos Marins, mocked the criticism and said that the fire department was activated as a precaution, giving a different version to that of the Fire Department, reported the Alta Montanha portal.
